HTML Web Developer

We're growing and are in need of an exceptional HTML WEB DEVELOPER to join our Technology team!

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Web developer position focused on front-end/GUI Engineering responsible for building and maintaining commercial websites and email campaigns. The Web Developer will work closely with the Creative and Client Services teams to perform updates on all sites, optimize graphics for the web and perform other regularly recurring technical tasks. The Web Developer adheres to standards and policies set forth by the Programming Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Front end duties including HTML and CSS authoring, JavaScript coding, and Flash development Creation of new pages from Photoshop comps

Modification of existing HTML pages

Full testing/verification of code produced and complete de-bugging prior to launch of code

Cut up graphics and optimize for the web

Involvement in specific phases of the application development lifecycle coding, testing, and debugging

Implements software systems that adhere to design processes and documentation standards set forth by the Programming Team

REQUIRED SKILLS

Four year degree in Computer Science or related subject

2+ years experience with HTML, DHTML, XHTML, JavaScript, and CSS

Ability to take a PSD file as an input and produce quality, hand-coded HTML as an output

Familiarity with slicing and optimizing graphics in Photoshop

Detail and quality oriented

Ability to follow coding and layout standards established by the programming team or by the client

Ability to work in a small, dynamic programming team with numerous responsibilities

Must always keep up with technical advancements and be able to suggest ways in which tasks can be performed more efficiently

DESIRED SKILLS

Experience with Flash and ActionScript

Advanced understanding of the document object model

Experience generating HTML for delivery in email marketing campaigns

Experience working with content management systems
